Company Overview
California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA) was incorporated on May 5, 1977 as a California mutual benefit corporation as a 501(c)(6).
The Society's Mission is to foster the professionalism, business development and personal growth of its members, to protect the interests of the individual members of the Society, and to enhance the awareness and role of the Enrolled Agent among members of the public, other professions and with governmental agencies.
The Society's Big Audacious Goal: "To dominate the tax profession."
Currently CSEA has more than 4,100 members in California. Additionally, we have about 300 enrolled affilaites (EAs from other states who belong to NAEA and their state soceties), about 150 professional afiliates (CPAs and attorneys in California), 20 professional associates, 40 student associates and 35 international enrolled affilaites and 6 international associates, all from Japan.
CSEA has 20 affiliated Chapters throughout the state and one in Japan, Japan Society of Enrolled Agents. Three of the Chapters are separately incorporated, and the other 18 are unincorporated.
CSEA's operating budget for 2006-2007 is $1.65 million and projected budget for 2007-2008 is $1.81 million.
The Society is located in Sacramento off Highway 50 and Mather Field Road with a staff of nine, and is housed in a buidling that it owns outright.
